Mr. Jason Chen - Chief Executive Officer

Jason has spent his career working in project management. Wada Bento was started to solve the lunch problem which Jason and many Hong Kong office workers experienced.

Prior to starting Wada Bento, Jason oversaw semiconductor and consumer electronics projects in international electronic companies. Jason has filed over twenty patents in U.S. and China with twelve patents granted. Jason is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Six Sigma Lean Black Belt.

Jason received his master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Tokyo and his MBA from City University of Hong Kong. He also completed the Entrepreneurship & Venture Plan Development Program in University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Manabu Oikawa – Executive Chef

Manabu is a passionate Japanese Chef with over 20 years of experience in Food and Beverage Industry. Manabu is an expert in hot-chain food technology. He manages the central kitchens, controls the food quality, and performs food R&D in Wada Bento.

Prior to joining Wada Bento, Manabu managed the Japanese cuisine R&D in city’super as a Head Chef. Manabu also held managerial positions including Head Chef and Executive Chef in famous Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong.

Before coming to Hong Kong, Manabu had worked in Tokyo, New York and international cruise ships. Manabu loves the life in Hong Kong and has been living in Hong Kong for over 10 years.

Mr. Kenny Yau - Director of Strategic Partnership

Kenny Yau has 14+ years of experience in the sales and marketing field, 6+ years in managerial roles in multinational companies. Change is the genes of Kenny. He loves to share with and coach staffs to develop their career path and influence the team to adapt to the company transformation.

He has experiences on connecting with external and internal stakeholders, recognizing the pain points, formulating solution plan, resolving the problems and then building up long-term strategic relationship.

Kenny received his MBA degree from the City University of Hong Kong. He also completed the Global Branding Program for Bentley in Imperial College London.

Mr. Eric Ng - Senior Product Manager

Eric has been working in electronics and semiconductor engineering for 20 years, including years of working experience in Japan. Eric manages the product development of the hot-chain vending machines in Wada Bento. Eric is passionate about turning innovative ideas to real electronic products.

Eric received his Bachelor and master’s degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
